Step 1: The Welcome Email
You will receive an email to your corporate email account when your Clearview Social administrator creates your account. It will look something like this:
Sometimes emails get stuck in filters, so make sure to check your spam or junk mail folders to make sure it didn't end up there. You'll need this email to get into the site!
The welcome email will include a login link, as seen in the screenshot above. Click this and you'll be taken straight into Clearview Social!
Step 2: Connecting Your Accounts
Once you are in Clearview Social, you will be greeted with a pop-up like this:
Click the buttons for the social network(s) you wish to connect. We recommend connecting your LinkedIn account, at least. Once you click the LinkedIn button, you'll be taken to LinkedIn's site and asked to sign in (using the email address associated with your LinkedIn account, which may not be the same email address as your corporate account) and authorize Clearview Social to post on your behalf. It will look like this:
(Linkedin will reserve the right to change this information based on their needs, so this screen might change from time to time.)
Enter your username and password, then click Allow access. You'll be taken back to Clearview Social and shown the introductory pop-up again.
You can connect any other social media accounts or Facebook Pages from here or connect them later from the Settings page.
Click Continue to move to the next screen.
Note: If you would like to set up a Facebook Page to share content to, you will need to make sure that it is linked through this page. You will also need the appropriate permissions to allow this. If you would like to learn more about this, check out: How to share to your Facebook page.
Step 3: Industry News Feeds
Industry News is another way to discover shareable content. We provide a variety of built-in RSS feeds from Manzama, JDSupra, and others.
On this screen, you will see several categories you may be interested in. Click on the category name to see the feeds available; clicking the category name a second time will close that category.
If you do not see categories or content related to your industry, contact us and we will add additional feeds when available.
Click on the individual feed name to sign up for that feed's content. Clicking the feed a second time will deselect the feed.
In the top-right, you can choose what day(s) of the week you would prefer this content automatically sent to you.
Industry News content will be sent to the email associated with Clearview Social, similar to how a Queue email will appear. The name of the feed will be the subject of the email.
Our partnership with Manzama allows users to subscribe to three Manzama feeds for free; these feeds are marked with the Manzama icon. You can see the Manzama feeds you have selected at the top of the screen. There is no limit to how many non-Manzama feeds you can subscribe to.
If too many Manzama feeds are selected, your last selection will be ignored and a warning will appear.
If you have any questions, our customer support team is always available by clicking the chat icon on the bottom right of the page. You should have a message from our support team welcoming you to the site when you log in, as well.
Make sure you connect at least one account or create a password so you can log into the site in the future. If you need to change these options in the future, you can do so from the Settings page. You can also find answers to common questions in the Clearview Social Knowledge Base.
Problems logging in?
The link from the welcome email will take you straight into Clearview Social. You should see a screen like this:
If you are not taken to this screen after clicking the link from your email and instead are shown an error page or prompted to log in another way, you can request a new email with a new link to take you into the site.
At this point in account setup, you will not be able to log in with LinkedIn or any other method through the normal login page. You will only be able to use the login link in your email to access the site.
