This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for Clearview Social and clearviewsocial.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the Site. It will notify you of the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the Site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the storage and use of your data.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of November 1st, 2018.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

In order to use this website, a User must first complete the registration form. During registration a User is required to give certain information (such as a name and an email address) and provide information that allows us to post to your third-party social media accounts on your behalf.

The use of Clearview Social is granted only to persons and organizations with whom we contract (“Customers”). Often, these organizations contract with us to in turn provide their employees and affiliates access to Clearview Social. Any such customer, employee, and affiliate that successfully registers with Clearview Social is a User of this Site, and continued use of this Site is subject to this Privacy Policy.

We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to any third party. However, if you are accessing Clearview Social using a subscription provided to you via an organization that you are associated with (e.g., your employer), we may provide that organization certain non-sensitive information that we have collected from you as necessary to that organization’s contractual use of Clearview Social.

Our lawful basis under the GDPR for collecting our information is either (i) in fulfillment of contract (with respect to any data we collect pursuant to contracts with Customers), (ii) pursuant to the User’s consent (with respect to any data that we collect from persons that is outside the terms of a Customer contract), or (iii) our legitimate interest of maintaining and improving our service (with respect to any data that we collect only for our internal use).

Maintaining the privacy of personally identifiable information is important to us. Except as provided for in this Privacy Policy, we will not use or disclose such information to anyone.  We use personally identifiable information only in ways that are relevant and compatible with the purposes for which that information was collected by our Customers, subsequently authorized by the individual User, or as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy.  We take all commercially reasonable steps to ensure that personally identifiable information collected is only used for its intended use and our Customers must do the same.  Our policy is to limit access to personally identifiable information to those of our employees or contractors who need access to it to perform their duties and who are subject to obligations to protect such information.  Any employee who violates our privacy or security policies may be subject to disciplinary action.

We consider information such as answers to surveys, comments, ideas, and suggestions (in each case, which do not contain personally identifiable information, either by their nature, or because we de-identify such data) to be non-personal and we do not classify such as personally identifiable information. Except as otherwise provided by applicable contracts with our Customers or a third party, we are free to disclose and use such data or information without any obligation.

Should you contact us with any inquiry, we will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Unless otherwise agreed to in writing with a Customer, we will process and store data in the United States.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies in order to (i) provide our customers with data regarding the effectiveness of Clearview Social posts and (ii) in order to provide streamlined access to our Site.

When you use Clearview Social to generate social media posts, we may include in the post a link which, when clicked, causes a user to download a cookie which tracks that user’s activity. This cookie merely helps us provide our customers with data regarding the effectiveness of their Clearview Social posts, and does not provide Clearview Social with any personally identifiable information about the user.

We may provide you session cookies and short-term persistent cookies to keep you logged into the Site over short periods of time without having to re-enter your log-in information. Usage of these cookies is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our Site.

Some of our business partners may use cookies on our Site (for example, advertisers). Additionally, content you share using Clearview Social may use cookies. However, we have no access to or control over these cookies. Therefore, we can make no warranties regarding what information these cookies store.

Should you decide that you want to limit our use of cookies when you access our Site, or when you use our Site to post to your third-party social media accounts, please contact us using the procedure described below.

How We Respond to “Do Not Track” Signals.

You may, through your browser, communicate a signal to the Site that requests that the Site not track your activity. Because we respect the privacy of our Customers, Users, and other users, we respond to these signals, in all cases, by not providing any tracking cookies whatsoever.

Please note again, however, that our business partners may use cookies in connection with our site, and we can make no warranties regarding how such business partners respond to Do Not Track signals.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Site, your information is protected both online and offline.

Whenever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data or contact information), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page. If you do not see these on a page where any sensitive information is to be transferred, please contact us immediately via the procedure above and refrain from transmitting  the requested information until after we have responded to your contact.

In addition to using encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also take steps to protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

If you feel for any reason that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via the procedure described above.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our Site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this Site or of the site of a customer.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of these changes, either via e-mail, or via a conspicuous and clear notice that is presented to you at least one time during your next log-in to the site following such change.
